Hagan Ultra World Cup, Pure 8, Pure 10 and Core 12 Pro bindings are very popular with astute ski tourers, but we are still a small, "boutique" brand in the U.S. so not all ski shops are equipped to mount our bindings. Many of the better specialty alpine touring ski shops will though. Here are some known shops that have our mounting jig and are glad to mount Hagan bindings. If you learn of others, please let me know so I can add them to the list!

MEC Vancouver using the paper template.

Others to check are The Mountaineer (ask for Drew), OGE/GearX in Burlington, Campsaver, Ragged Mountain Equipment in Vermont (ask for Cort).

Shops that carry Black Diamond may have the jig. BD started selling (inferior) versions of the Ultra and Core 12 Pro bindings which use the same jig. Since BD is pretty ubiquitous, that’s a good possibility.

If you know of a shop that is happy to mount Hagan bindings, please tell me so I can add them to this list.

Although shops prefer a jig, many will do it with a template. You can download one here:

Binding User's Guides and Mounting Instructions:

The templates are designed for A4 paper (not 8.5 x 11), so choose the A4 setting on your printer. (Even if you don’t have A4 paper.) After printing, double check the dimensions with a ruler.

The Marker Alpinist is a well known binding that some compare to the Hagan Pure 8 and Pure 10 bindings because they are all considered to be in the lightweight ski touring binding category. Here are some advantages of the Pure 10 versus the Marker Alpinist.
  • Lighter
  • Better retention/release
  • Adjustment

Here is a recent conversation that started asking how the Hagan Off Limits compares to the Altai Hok (no comparison). In the last paragraph there is a question about sand skiing with the Hagan X-Trace Pivot binding.
