C Lazy U Backcountry Ski Weekends 2025

C Lazy U ranch, based in Granby, Colorado, is offering two weekends of private guided backcountry skiing on their 8,500 square acre dude ranch. With approximately 700 acres of skiable backcountry terrain on Mt. Baldy and Hagan Ski Mountaineering on site offering free demos of all our equipment throughout the weekends, this is an experience you won't want to miss.

C Lazy U, is an all-inclusive, year-round guest ranch in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, offering high-class amenities and activities for everyone. This includes everything from mountain biking, to archery and fly fishing when the ground is dry and rivers thawed, to cross country skiing, pond skating, and backcountry skiing when the snow is falling. The backcountry skiing terrain:

There is approximately 700 acres of skiable back country terrain on the ranch, comprising Mount Baldy and the connector ridge between it and Windy Point. The majority of the terrain is sun-protected east/northeast-facing slopes that hold snow well and more importantly, keep it cool and free powder for days and weeks. With no lifts or lines means a ton of private powder. The lines are considered intermediate to expert terrain and there are no groomed runs except for groomed access in and out of certain areas for ease of touring.      

There is a small contingent of avid backcountry skiers on ranch, A.K.A. the ranch’s amazing activity guides, managers and employees.

Some strava beta on the terrain. Most of the lines of of Baldy and the ridge are east/northeast facing. 

The Backcountry Ski events:

These are private fully guided back country ski weekends, where you will stay for a minimum of two nights at the all inclusive ranch from Friday to Sunday, and get access to a back country skiing haven and unique C Lazy U Ranch experience. Hagan Ski mountaineering will be on site, offering complete access to our demo fleet, to ensure that you can optimize your touring. 

Inclusions:

• 2 nights (Friday to Sunday) in a C Lazy U Ranch guest cabin
• Gourmet dining – Dinner on the day of arrival through lunch on the day of departure
• 4 guided skiing sessions – Friday afternoon, morning and afternoon sessions Saturday and a Sunday morning session

These events are limited to 16 people and guided by a team of knowledgeable skiers and snowboarders, both men and women, with a wealth of backcountry knowledge and in particular that which exists in the ranch.
