Jesse Ramos - AMGA Certified Rock Guide | AIARE Instructor | Wilderness First Responder

Originally from Boulder, Colorado, Jesse began his technical climbing career in the craggy, glaciated terrain of the Pacific Northwest, where he received formal training in crevasse rescue, technical rock, and alpine climbing. He went on to teach and lead crevasse rescue courses on the Nisqually Glacier in Mount Rainier National Park as an instructor with Olympic College in Washington.

Jesse is an AMGA Certified Rock Guide, Assistant Alpine Guide, and Apprentice Ski Guide, as well as an AIARE Course Instructor and Wilderness First Responder. He has guided internationally in Nepal, leading expeditions to 6,000- and 7,000-meter peaks such as Island Peak, Mera Peak, and Baruntse.

In the U.S., Jesse regularly guides in the Front Range, Red Rock Canyon, and the Pacific Northwest, and has led longer alpine trips in the Cirque of the Towers and Rocky Mountain National Park. A former combat veteran, he also has experience guiding clients with adaptive needs.

Jesse is passionate about ski mountaineering, ice climbing, and especially climbing the clean white granite of the Bugaboo Spires in British Columbia.
