Testing shows HAGAN 100% mohair race skins to be amongst the fastest gliding skins on the market. More importantly, the Race skins have excellent climbing grip, superior to other mohair race skins. The bungee tips attachments, combined with the Y-shaped skin notches on the HAGAN Ultra 65 skis, create the fastest and easiest transitioning skin system in the world. Our proven all-conditions glue maintains exceptional grip after repeated use. The 100% mohair plush is treated to resist moisture, prevent wet snow glob and increase glide.
HAGAN racing skins are 60mm wide for their entire length, the perfect width to match the Ultra 65 race ski. They provide full width coverage in the crucial for traction under foot zone. The straight cut reduces weight and friction and improves glide. (Ultra 65 skins are the only HAGAN climbing skins straight-cut for their entire length. All other HAGAN climbing skins are tailor cut to match the ski geometry.) The skins are approximately 145cm long. Most users will want to shorten them a bit for 151cm Ultra 65 skis and even more for 161cm Ultra 65 skis. We recommend trimming the length so that that are extend about 4" beyond the heal tower.
