The Hagan Core ST alpine ski touring boot provides an unrivaled combination of superior hold, downhill performance, ease of operation, durability and reliability. Narrow foot? The Core ST Women is a bit narrower than the Pure Women.
The Core ST W offers rip-roarin’ performance in a lightweight package offering maximum fit with minimal weight.. The weight savings are attributed to the Ba-X cuff and shell, which adds reinforcement in key zones, but reduces wall thickness overall. Round it all out with the Memory Fit 3D Liner — pre-shaped, thermoformable heel and ankle areas to reduce pressure points and improve foot hold — and you’ve got a boot that will do you well from sunup to sundown. Release the simple, reliable ski/walk mechanism and enjoy 60-degree range of motion. Lock it down for powerful 110-flex rating ski driving. The Grilamid shell and cuff, with Ba-X reinforcement, provide direct power transfer and strong support to handle the most difficult ski conditions with ultimate control.
The liner of the Core ST W is perfectly matched to the Core women's last. A deeper section in the calf area and a little more padding in the heel and metatarsal area give additional comfort fit. The Core ST W liner is thermo-moldable in the ankle and instep areas for customized individual fit. For 2018, slight modifications were made to the Palau liner to improve fit and function. The Core ST W provides serious power transmission and control for your downhill adventures along with the key ingredients needed for alpine ski touring: Hagan’s Power Lock ski/walk mechanism— a metal-on-metal locking mechanism for stellar reliability and performance in ski mode and a 60-degree range of motion when released.
At just 1,190 grams in size 26.5, the Hagan CORE ST Wapproaches the weight of skimo race boots. It does so while providing superior hold, adjustment and downhill performance. The anatomically correct shell (ACS) provides perfect power transmission, ensuring a high degree of precision and stability for not only the descent, but also for uphill climbs in exposed terrain or when using crampons. The Grilamid shell material, the BaX frame Cuff, a perfectly positioned cuff inclination and the extra-wide power strap (OCB - Oversized Closing Belt) provide sensational ski control in all situations. The Multi-Deflect-Buckle System (MDB) provides optimal power distribution to the shell and holds the foot securely in position during ascents and descents. The Core ST is the perfect companion for light and fast performance-oriented ski tourers.
The only difference between the Core ST and the Core TF is the liner. The ST liner is “instant fit”. It is thermoformable through most of the lower foot, but “instant fit” on the cuff. The TF are 100% thermo-formable. Because they are really intended to be heat formed, the foam is a bit denser than the ST. This means they are often less comfortable out of the box, without heat forming, but can be more thoroughly formed. I’ve found the fit to be rather standard. They are a bit narrower than most brands in the forefoot. Length is pretty accurate in my experience and customer feedback.
