The Hagan Core ST alpine ski touring boot provides an unrivaled combination of superior hold, downhill performance, ease of operation, durability and reliability. Narrow foot? The Core ST Men is a bit narrower than the Pure Men.
The Core ST provides serious power transmission and control for your downhill adventures along with the key ingredients needed for alpine ski touring: Hagan’s Power Lock ski/walk mechanism— a metal-on-metal locking mechanism for stellar reliability and performance in ski mode and a 60-degree range of motion when released. Registering at 1,190 grams/boot, the Core employs a lightweight and easily customizable Palau liner and a lightweight yet ultra-responsive Grilamid shell.
The Core ST inner boot offers maximum comfort from the start. The ankle and instep areas can be thermo-molded for improved individual fit. Slight modifications were made over the 2017 model to improve fit and function.
At just 1,190 grams in size 26.5, the Hagan CORE ST approaches the weight of skimo race boots. It does so while providing superior hold, adjustment and downhill performance. The upper cuff provides genuine 60° ankle rotation, making the CORE the ideal companion for long climbs, traverses and technical sections. The anatomically correct shell (ACS) provides perfect power transmission, ensuring a high degree of precision and stability for not only the descent, but also for uphill climbs in exposed terrain or when using crampons. The Grilamid shell material, the BaX frame Cuff, a perfectly positioned cuff inclination and the extra-wide power strap (OCB - Oversized Closing Belt) provide sensational ski control in all situations. The Multi-Deflect-Buckle System (MDB) provides optimal power distribution to the shell and holds the foot securely in position during ascents and descents. The Core TF W is the perfect companion for light and fast performance-oriented ski tourers.
The only difference between the Core ST and the Core TF is the liner. The ST liner is “instant fit”. It is thermoformable through most of the lower foot, but “instant fit” on the cuff. The TF are 100% thermo-formable. Because they are really intended to be heat formed, the foam is a bit denser than the ST. This means they are often less comfortable out of the box, without heat forming, but can be more thoroughly formed. I’ve found the fit to be rather standard. They are a bit narrower than most brands in the forefoot. Length is pretty accurate in my experience and customer feedback.
